How do I open my gun safe...?

So I bought a gun safe from Costco a few months back, well today I tried to get in so I could go shooting, but just with my luck I forgot the code and punched in the wrong code 3-4 times. After I sat down and remembered the code I tried to open the safe again but now It won't let me in at all!

I called winchester and they're closes until monday, and Costco doesn't know how to operate the darn thing. Anyone have any experience with these safes?

According to the manual, it locks you out for 5 minutes.

did it come with a manual?

And did you store the manual somewhere other than inside the safe?
Yes, I am an electrical engineer.
No, I will not fix your computer.

The manual is inside of the safe
If I get it open I'll be sure to take the manual and put it in the secret place that I keep all the paperwork from when I bought my guns.

Thanks! I was afraid I'd have to wait until monday to call them and get the reset code, that would have sucked copious amounts of gonads.

There is no problem in life so great that it cannot be solved with the precise placement of a proper amount of explosives.

Also write the code down and keep it somewhere in the house.

You can do what a lot of managers of stores do...write the combo real real small on the side of the safe.

One of the first things we did when conducting a security check on a retail establishment was look at the safe real close. 8 out of 10 times the combo was written on it somewhere.

The best trick is upside down on the back. First clue on that one is a small mirror in the desk...LOL

One trick is to create a 'multiplier' number that you use for all important numerical codes. Say you choose #12. Take that number and multiply it by the actual number then write the sum down in plain view. Unless you know to divide by the multiplier, you aint gettin in! Make sure you don't forget the multiplier either!
