Don't you mean it's really just a minor traffic infraction which normally would only result in a typical moving violation ticket? I can't open the link but I don't see where a vehicle search would come into play, unless he was unlicensed, uninsured, drunk/drugged or the registration was dead?.....

As if there were an upside, I suppose the loonies can say "well the database tracks guns so the police will know if a criminal is supposed to have one or not" of course criminals don't register their guns and break the law anyway so there is no way for police to know whether a criminal has a gun or not without doing a search.

The only permit that should be required is written into the 2nd Amendment of the COTUS. But that's NYC for ya. ****pit.
