    Which San Diego Calgunner....

bought the "Suicide Special" Colt Agent this week @ Turner's Kearny Mesa?

They had a Colt Agent Revolver on consignment for $250 w/ a leather holster. Pretty well worn, with what looked like some minor rust pitting along the barrel. It was definitely no safe queen. When I asked to see it they told me it had been used in a suicide. I didn't ask how recently or any details. That was monday, today I called back to see if it was still there so I could pick it up....SOLD

So which one of you was it. I want pictures.

It wasn't marked as "suicide special" but when I asked to see it the salesmen were quick to point out that it had been used in a suicide. When I called today and asked "if the colt agent on consignment was still there" the salesmen said "you mean the revolver with the leather holster and blood all over it?" It was definitely a shooter, as in it was pretty well used not pristine condition, and I did not get a chance to check out the bore.

I mulled it over and didn't have time to get back there yesterday so first thing this morning I called. A day late and a buck short.

Bad juju for buying a gun used in a suicide. Probably good you didn't buy it. You will get the next one.

This lady brought in a remington rifle in an evidence box and a really sad story when I worked at Turners. It was really sad

A gun is just a gun, an inanimate piece of metal. I've known some people who decided to destroy the gun used in a suicide by a family member. That's what they needed for closure, but I would have bought it in an instant. Especially, considering it was a nice, older S&W.

Why get worked up over how the gun was used?

Any one of thousands of curios and relics could have been used to kill American soldiers in wars of the past or used in robberies or murders by long since dead criminals.

Would you be as squeamish about buying parts from a car that was used in a suicide or as a murder weapon?

These things have no spirit or karma.. No memory or regret...No guilt or blame...Any thought that they do is attributable to our own superstitious imagination.

A friend of mine bought a used car (VW Jetta) with blood splatter on the roof liners. He didn't realized it till he brought it home. Wonder how that got there?

I got back a Glock 22 that had been used in a suicide. It still had a tiny piece of brain on the grip. There has been other suicide gun pics and stories here before. I have more but I don't feel like going in to it on here right now.
