I just wanted to share my experiences with Tactical Ammunition, and how they did right by me.
Back in November, I ordered 1000 rounds of their factory seconds XM193. I finally got the chance to test this ammo out last Thursday at Angeles. As described in this THREAD, I was having consistent problems with the ammo, and I was extremely frustrated. I was having primers popping out every 10-15 rounds, which resulted in my BCM carbine jamming up consistently.
So I came here and made a thread about my experience with this ammo, and some members were telling me its my fault for buying seconds yada yada yada. Which is true, I didnt buy top quality, but I cant afford to shoot premium ammo, and the website said that the issues were mainly cosmetic and function should not be affected. They dont, however, guarantee this ammo.
Anyway, one member said that they had the exact same problem with the exact same ammo from this company. He said he called them up, and they took care of him.
So I emailed them on Saturday detailing my problems, and they called me back today. And boy did they make it right. They said that the brass they purchased to produce this batch of ammo was already primed, but the company that primed it messed up with the primer seating. So they offered to send me 1000 rounds of new XM193. Which is $80 dollars more than I spent on the seconds. So they are sending me the shipping labels to send the seconds I bought back, plus they are going to call UPS (or maybe it was Fedex) to come pick it up from my house when I get the labels and am ready to ship it back to them. Mind you I shot off about 200 rounds of the original factory seconds, and Im getting 1000 rounds of new ammo back.
But the real kicker is that I told my brother about this company, and he purchased a 1000 rounds of 9mm factory seconds. In the original email to Tactical Ammunition, I told them that I was also concerned about recommending this ammo to my brother, considering the problems I was having with my batch. When the nice lady called me today, she said that they havent heard of any problems with the factory seconds for 9mm, but she will send me a shipping label for them as well, AND send me 1000 rounds of NEW factory ammo for the 9mm as well. I was stunned, we didnt shoot any of the 9mm seconds, so for all we know they could be just fine, but they are sending new ammo to replace that as well. Total cost difference between the seconds and the new for both calibers is $135. Furthermore, they are doing all this when on the website, it says explicitly that they dont guarantee this ammo. They basically could have said tough luck to me. But they didnt, and this is a company who stands behind their product. Simply awesome
So I will definitely report back with a range report of the new ammo, but I expect everything to function flawlessly.
I just wanted to share my experience with Tactical Ammunition with you guys, they definitely made a loyal customer out of me.
