    Does anyone use an LBV?

When I was working we got to wear load bearing vests on occasion for special assignments/services and man did they make lugging around all that junk nice.

My issue is now that I am retired I want to buy a LBV to use at the range and for 3 gun (If I can find a local range that does 3 gun that it). So I know I should give a rip less what people think, but my imagination still thinks "Mall Ninja" whenever someone would see a "tac vest" on a civilian.

Yes now that I am retired, I am what you would consider a mall ninja I guess, but I love all the Tacticool stuff.

Anyone use a LBV? Anyone have any opinions?

    Thanks guys

I saw a guy on crutches at my local coffee shop wearing a tac vest to carry his wallet. He said it was easier to reach into. "Awesome", I said.

Most 3 gunners dont wear vests, just belts. Check out a local match.

I don't think they do. I am in the process of getting involved with the local USPSA. What sucks is civilians in vests are usually the overly enthusiastic airsoft Mall Ninja, but in my case a cross draw holster is perfect for me along with the ability to carry mags. Guess I'll have pass or just be accepted into the mall ninja society.

      Thanks

Double check the rule book but I am pretty sure you cant cross draw anyway. Chance you will cover yourself or break the 180. Plus a belt holster is much faster.

I use a condor plate carrier with a few pouches nothing extreme, just enough to carry a light Practice/Combat load..

Maybe a thigh rig for 3gun pistol?
I'm banging the chick in my avatar, think I can get a CCW now?

There's a large artery in your arm. I really wince when I think about covering my upper arm with a muzzle, especially the inside where the artery is.

I know there are shoulder holsters that point down, but I just don't see the point.
