I have heard rumors that the DOJ is going to ban all semi-auto handguns without mag disconnect in January 2012. Has anyone here have any info on this possible issue. Like I stated, I am not sure if this is rumor or possible fact.

I believe this falls under the catagory of major FUD. Belive me, if this was the case it would be all over the news, and
would be looking into a new mansion in anticipation of the judgement.

Oregon does have a bill in their legislature to ban the sale of certain handguns, including models without loaded chamber indicators and mag disconnects. Perhaps that is the source of your rumor.Never initiate force against another. That should be the underlying principle of your life. But should someone do violence to you, retaliate without hesitation, without reservation, without quarter, until you are sure that he will never wish to harm - or never be capable of harming - you or yours again.

I don't need a "loaded, chamber indicator" because like all respectable gun owners.. I always consider my guns loaded even if they are empty.

Such a bill would have to be introduced this session, and while a bunch of gun-related bills just popped up, nothing with that proposal has yet been submitted.
