So I've had some carbon on my Streamlight gun light lens for months that I neglected to clean off. When I finally tried to clean it off, no amount of CLP could budge it.
So I searched around various forums and found one suggestion to use vinegar. Now vinegar is great for general cleaning and hard water stains, but I was doubtful it would do anything to carbon, but I had no other options so what the heck.
It worked perfectly! I didn't even have to wait as it worked immediately, and I was able to wipe off the carbon on the glass! So I just wanted to share that with anyone else who had trouble cleaning carbon off glass - use vinegar
