Legal to carry taser ?

I have a M18L Taser, and would like to know if I can carry concealed on my person and or in the car.I know, no schools,gov buildings and such.This is the taser that shoot 15 ft. If city matters it would be Oakland.

yeah. it's legal to carry concealed. m18's are huge, tho. so it's tough.

M18L is too big lol. Get the newer C2. Its in my pocket 24/7.... at least when I have pants on

I bought an M18 a couple years ago but its just too ridiculously huge to have on your person unless its open carried. I suppose you can keep a backpack for it. It sits in my nightstand now, for if I forget to take a pistol out of the safe when I go to bed.

22610. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, any person may
purchase, possess, or use a stun gun, subject to the following
requirements:
(a) No person convicted of a felony or any crime involving an
assault under the laws of the United States, the State of California,
or any other state, government, or country, or convicted of misuse
of a stun gun under Section 244.5, shall purchase, possess, or use
any stun gun.
(b) No person addicted to any narcotic drug shall purchase,
possess, or use a stun gun.
(c) (1) No person shall sell or furnish any stun gun to a minor
unless the minor is at least 16 years of age and has the written
consent of the minor's parent or legal guardian.
(2) Violation of this subdivision shall be a public offense
punishable by a fifty-dollar ($50) fine for the first offense. Any
subsequent violation of this subdivision is a misdemeanor.
(d) No minor shall possess any stun gun unless the minor is at
least 16 years of age and has the written consent of the minor's
parent or legal guardian.

No other 'positive law' covers tasers at state level - just 171b and 676.10 prohibitions on public buildings and schools, and don't assault people in 244.5.

Also includes 'stun guns' at 12650.

I have one but it is a @&$) to carry due to its size and bulk. I carry Spitfire pepper spray (www.spitfire.us). It may not be as powerful as a Taser but it is better than nothing.

I have an X26c that I carry sometimes... much smaller than the M18L.

Great news! Thanks guys, yes its big but have no money for a C2 right now and the M18L will probably find a nice home in my wife's center console of her car.
