Welding guru needed for kit guns

I need some info on welding a 4130 .100" wall tube to a 1020 .100" wall tube. I found that a ER 80 S wire is prefered, but I can't find any reference for an amp setting.
    All advise greatly appreciated.
What would be the best unit to buy to do this on the cheap ?

    Thanks in advance.

Having 35 years in the business, I can tell you that Toe Jams advice is right on. Send it to a pro and have it tig welded for the best quality/looking results, mig for the most economical.

I would like to be able to just have it welded by a pro ,but as a kit gun I have to weld it myself. I might be able to silver solder it all together and shoot it and then have it TIG'd.

Dont do that, the silver solder will make the joint impossible to conventionally weld unless its taken apart and the solder completly removed from the weld area.

Take it down to a welding shop. I curse my customers out when they bring me something stupid like "JB Weld" or solder on it.

Just last week a guy brought a motor mount from his car caked with JB Weld. I charged him double than what it would have been if he just left it alone.
