    Gun shop question

Just a simple question. I'm turning 21 in April and I want to know if it's ok to go to gun stores and handle handguns. Is their a law that prevents me from checking out handguns before 21. I do have an HSC.

18 to buy a rifle, 21 to buy a handgun. My understanding anyway.

IIRC, there is no specific law about handling pistols.

The great guys at Valkyrie Arms let me check out their SIGs and GLOCKs all the time, and I am not 21.

You should be able to put your booger hooks all over them...just can't buy until April. Policy may change from store to store but I'm sure nobody would give you any crap especially since you'll be buying....soon.

Cool yea I can't decide between the GI or mil-spec springer 1911's so I wanted to handle them. I'm leaning more toward a GI since it's replicates the original which is my goal but I also like the sights on the mil spec better. Might just buy a GI and send it in to Springfield to do a sight job

as long as your respectful with their property, none of them should really have a problem. let 'em know your situation and it should be a non issue... i see "young adults" in the shops i frequent all the time and never once saw an employee have an issue unless the kid was doing something stupid.

There should be no problem. No one ever asked if your over 21 to handle a handgun, unless you look 12!

Just don't say your age unless they ask. your only looking at which gun you want to potentially buy. But i warn you, buying guns in extremely!!!!!!!......... addictive.
