If I go to a gunshop and want to buy a new handgun and two stripped lowers from them can they all be on the same DROS? I was under the impression that they could be but was told otherwise from the gunshop.

You can only have multiple long guns (lowers) on a single DROS form - handguns are separate - one each. Long guns aren't technically registered, but handguns are, so they each need their own form (serial #'s, make, model, etc.)------------------------------------------------------------
iTrader protip: When I buy something from you and I immediately pay, then my part is done. That's all I have to do. You can leave me iTrader feedback and go on with your life. When I get the item, I will leave you iTrader feedback, assuming you've already done your part. See how that works?
