Found these vids. Did not think I would ever see this happen in Berkley. Anybody know this guy? Wonder if he's been contacted by LEO or eChecked? Anyway, good for him, hope he doesn't run into any problems.

Yeah, the nerve-- being both black and armed in California. The suggestion that this man has a death wish smacks of antebellum prejudice. Would the perception be so different with armed latinos, whites or asians? In other words, do any of those racial groups have a death wish when they open carry as well? Or is there some equivelancy between any group who open carries having a deathwish?
I noticed that the videos are from May and October last year. I havent heard any stories about a black man being apprehended in Berkeley, so I assume that he has managed to dodge a police encounter or arrest. (Of course, this could be attributed to NOT holding a sit in at a coffee shop with 30 of he closest armed friends, and keeping his carry discrete and low key.)

As a Berkeley Grad, I'm very impressed with him; but given that Oakland is right next door and not known as a 'nice' place, really interested in LEO encounters from this citizen.Comment
