    Belt Fed 1911

    Thought this was funny.

To bad they don't mas market the M14 box mag conversion for the bolt rifle. I'd buy one...

I'm pretty sure that this is a joke guys (yeah the M14 box mag is real, but thats about it)

I saw this site years ago, and while its really well done, If you've ever actually owned a belt fed weapon, you might think about how complicated they are, there is no way you could actually fit a full auto belt fed package into a pistol platform just by modifying a 1911.

also did anyone notice that his links are backwards on the .45acp?

Its a joke guys, he stuck belted ammo in random guns to see who falls for it.

Ajax is right, it's a joke. You can clearly see in the last picture that the belted round is just sitting on the edge of the ejection port and not going into the gun. A belt feeding mechanism in a 1911 is just plain impossible.

Even the URL is suspect... shottist.com No such thing as a "shottist".

I think the word he was looking for is "shootist".

                What, no belt fed revolvers?
'Cuz big holes are easier to see.

Sgt Phil looked a little out of shape.

The photos actually give the game away. The 1911 conversion looks as convincing as this AK magazine conversion:
