Glock Locking Pin Drift Problem- New G17

I went to the range to shoot my brand new Glock 17 RTF2 and as I was shooting I noticed the Locking Pin walked itself almost all the way out of the frame.

This is a brand new pistol, less than 200rds fired. Not even taken apart yet to clean or service.

    Anyone have the same issue?

    Any suggestions are appreciated.

Take it down give it a good cleaning and try to put another 200 rounds through it, if the pin still wiggles out, you have to replace pin with a bigger one, you can contact glock and they will send you one for free if gun is new.

Thanks guys! I made sure that the retention spring is in the correct place against the pin and I am going to put some more rounds through it and see how it holds up.

        Cheers...

keep us updated, but i'm sure you'll be fine, i'm thinking the pin popped out just a bit and wasn't locked in.

Looks like it was an assembly error.

I took it apart, put the locking pin retaining spring where it was suppose to be and it works fine now. No more issues.

Must have been overlooked during manufacturing process. Glad it is all good now. I love my Glock.

Or someone disassembled and reassembled incorrectly after it left the factory...
