New pistol with old-test fired cartidge?

I bought a pistol today with a test-fired cartridge of 6/15/09. How is this possible and should I be concerned?

No as in I should not be concerned or I should? lol.

Glock 21 for my cousin who will PPT from me when he moves here in a month. It was a pretty good deal so i took it. I hate Glocks and am selling all of mine, but he wants a 21.

Maybe it's one that has just been sitting on the shelf? It's not like pistols go bad with an expiration date or something. It could be the one that just kept getting pushed to the back somewhere in a warehouse.

It's obviously long past it's expiration date. I'm a nice enough guy that I'd dispose of it for you for free!

I'm anal when I buy or sell guns. I always like to clean and lube it for a buyer just like I expect. That OCD spills over and I become a conspiracy theorist and I believe the worst that somehow it's defective or out of spec somehow.

So what problems do you expect from a gun sitting on the shelf for a year and a half?

Lol. You can make fun all you want. I'm a good sport. But if you bought a pistol that was test-fired 1.5 years ago, for example, you'd be a bit perplexed as well.

Why would you buy a gun made before last week? I'd take it back and demand a NEW gun instead of that old outdated thing they tried to pass off on you.

Haha. My only point is that a year and a half is long. My other ones were all within 3 months or so, so this stuck out.

We get your point. My point is why does it matter?

I bought a USP and the test fire date was sometime in 2008. I bought it in 2010. Never hiccuped yet.
                            YMMV.

Since it is out of the ordinary, I decided to come to a forum and ask. I'm sorry for troubling you. To answer you question, I guess it doesn't. Thank you.
