Question about ordering upper?

Im ordering an upper from spikes and one of the options is to remove bayonet lugs do i need them removed for CA law?

For some reason bayonet lugs where part of the now defunct fed AW ban. I think some states still have similar restrictions, California is not one of them.

The flow chart is genius. I have handed it out to various family members in LE. They are all suffuciently impressed. Even though the FBI handles federal charges, they still rely on "experts" from the Firearms division of the Cal DOJ when classifying seized weapons to see weather or not to hand off to the local DA. I gave him a flow chart, which he keeps on his desk, so can make sure he doesn't get fed FUD. I call that a win!
If the flow chart was the only thing Calguns Foundation ever did, it would still be a lot.
