    Million man pro gun march

I wake this morning to to see Sen. Dianne Feinstein is trying to persuade Obama to basically stop imports of rifles, or most of them anyway. This is getting serious. The anti gun politicians are starting to rear their ugly heads way too often.

I wonder if the NRA could or would be interested in organizing a massive million man/woman march on Washington DC? Maybe a two million man/woman march on Washington?

Politicians live in a bubble and we don't. Our world is a very different place than the well protected and well healed world of the politicians. It's getting time for a massive blow back on the anti rhetoric.

Also, why are you and I being penalized for Mexico's failures? I see that is one of the reasons for this letter to Obama. That's a real serious infringement on our rights. Another country causes us to lose our choice of rifles?

    Here is her letter to Obama;

Better than a "million man march" (so ... "feel good" liberal) on Washington DC, organize a national day of public exposure.

You won't get a million men anyway. do you have any idea how many people that is?

If you line up people like soldiers, assuming they are standing shoulder to shoulder and in rows like a marching band, each person would take up nine square feet. (3'x3' square). That would be nine million square feet of people IF every one of them stood in a proper line.

So there you are, on a street 60 feet wide, marching along. Each person in formation takes up 3 feet of width. The street is ... 60 feet (?) wide. The FIRST row takes up 180 sq. ft. So 20 people form the first row. That means 50,000 ROWS of people, ALL in proper formation walking in a 3'x3' square. 50,000 x 3' = 150,000 feet! 5,280 feet per mile, right? That means that the line of marching people in that formation of 20 people across, if there were actually one million people attending, would be OVER 28 MILES long!

If people space out a bit, which is far more likely, the line would probably stretch some 40 miles or more. Now you know just how far short the libs headcounts were with their "million Moron Marches" that had about one mile of people.

McDonalds holds a bike ride each year to raise money for kids. They don't try to get every rider to one location. They hold rides all around the country, and people report to their local sponsoring McD's and ride. It is a HUGE event, when you count all of the participants.

Pick a day, publicize the heck out of it, and get people all around the country to show up on public street corners with pro 2A posters and banners, etc. If people are seen all around America standing in support of the 2A, it will not be viewed as "those people over there." When the elections come around, we see hundreds of people on major street intersections waving signs and banners in every major city. The same thing should happen for private gun ownership support.

If Washington DC is too far away, possibly in a pro gun state like Utah to meet halfway?

Many options to consider. But it should move forward.

A bit over a week ago, there were two articles pertaining to Obama aides who stated that in two weeks the President would be proposing new firearm restrictions. One was in the New York Times, but I can't recall the other.

So, it seems they're stacking the deck for the next hand of FUN CONTROL! (I mean gun control)

Viva La 2A! <--we still have that, right?

What the NRA should organize is a day when we all peaceably assemble at our respective state capitols and show that we value our rights & represent a large enough part of the populace to not be considered the fringe .

Can you imagine 50 simultaneous gatherings ? We'd have well over a million.

So she wants guns that are already illegal for import to be illegal? Really we can't even build a foreign gun with a parts kit without replacing enough foreign parts with US parts to get the count to 10 or less. Why, because importation of that rifle is illegal unless It's considered a "sporting arm".

The smart, learn from their own mistakes.
The others, well......they just never learn.

I dunno, thousands of pro gun people, armed, would look like an army. That might be too much for the government to take. Washington might send out the National Guard for something like that.

                          It could get real hairy......
