Visalia Safes?

Been looking for a good quality safe and am really liking how visalia safes are made and protected. I check them out at every gun show...

Does anyone have any experience with them?

I buddy has one from Visalia Safes. Looked really solid. Decently priced as well.

A co-worker has a Visalia safe and loves it...

I would also give Sturdy Safe (in Fresno) a close look. Check out the U-Yube videos also, they are very impressive.

I to have a buddy who has a Visalia safe. I was checking it out one day and I can tell you , the workmanship and design is top notch. The fire proofing wasnt that cheap 1/2 inch dry wall stuff that most makers use. I was really impressed by the way the shelf mount rails on the walls are welded in. Not just stapled to the dry wall board like most. The paint looked "plane Jane" but thats the way I like it. Less money in the paint job and more money in the quality construction.....

I have two of them a 6' and a 5' tall ones. Each has a different configuration on the inside. Full rifle for the 6' tall one with two top shelves and a easy out rifles for the 5' tall one with one top shelf.

I believe River City Gun Exchange sells them. I know they did the last time I was there.

I have 2 of their safes and one of another brand. I like their safes very much and have reccomended them to others. I have 3 friends who bought safes from them and all are happy. I have had them deliever and place the safes where I wanted them in my home. They are a small company and very pleasent to deal with.

A side note or two. First get a safe much larger than you "need" as it will get filled up. I got larger ones to start with and still need another. Mine were 24"X36"X72". I suggest getting the taller models as you have already used up the floor space and then you have more room for pistols/mags/important papers/cameras/jewellry(sp)/etc. Also easier for longer rifles such as M91/30/trapdoors etc.
