    LMT's rebar cutter

Think there is any use for this? It attaches onto an A2 flashider and cuts rebar with SS109 ammo.

I saw a video of it in use once. It was pretty cool. Not very practical though... but then again, of all the toys in this hobby of ours, what is practical?

They see real world, specialized use. Combat engineers and entry teams.

Blow a hole in a reinforced cinder block wall with C4 and use the muzzle device to clear the mangled rebar so people can pass through. You have guys carrying rifles for defense anyway, why not spare them the trouble of carrying the weight of awkward long handled cutters?

There were some threads about it on arfcom about a year back.

Never have.. although I have seen lots of construction sites and workers on the job site.. but have yet to see one with an AR-15 cutting rebar by shooting it with a rebar cutter that attaches to a flash hider

With all the thefts of building material for scrap prices, seeing construction workers with ARs slung over their back might become more and more common...

I have four of those bastards just taking up space in the back. I had to get them in a LMT Shot Show package deal. If any of you want one, place and order and put in the comments section of the order "Calguns, at cost special" and it will be yours for my cost. Or you can e-mail me if you are interested in know what my cost is. Sorry they have MAP pricing.

So what kind of round does it take to shoot through rebar?

Since those things are just sitting here, I ought to take one out and try it. I can video it and post it up here.

Of course I leave for vacation for three weeks on Saturday, so that will be an August project.
