    Star firestar

I've been trying to talk my buddy out of his Star Firestar for awhile. He finally broke down and sold it to me yesterday. It's a 9mm with the starvel finish. He bought it from a friend of his dad's. It was one of those "Just in case" guns, bought, stuck in a dresser drawer and never fired. He's only ran a few rounds through it. I don't really know what it's worth, but for $200 i jumped on it. I haven't fired it yet but it's a hefty little thing. I think i'm really gonna like it.

I did a google search but didn't really find what i was looking for: wood grips. Anybody know where i could find some?

I finally got to put some rounds through it. I ran 100 rounds of Miwall 115 gr hardball reloads and 50 rounds of Winchester 115 gr Silvertips through it. It ate 'em up with out a hitch. It's on my list of keepers.

EBAY I got some grips for my star there. There's a guy on there that makes nice wood grips for stars, 1911s, and a few others.

I've never seen aftermarket grips for the Firestar, I suspect it never sold in large enough numbers to attract the attention of the bigger grip makers.
It's too bad really, the Firestars were solid little guns, and I don't just mean in weight either!

You got a good deal at $200.

I have a Star Megastar, 13 rounds of 45. That thing is hefty but has never let me down at the range.

          Great buy at $200!

Man I loved my Firestar M43; wich I could get another someday. Awesome little pistol, heavy but accurate and durable.

And for the life of me I can't remember why I sold it...

I have a M45 and love it. This was the second gun I ever bought and still own it today. For $200 I wish I would have bought a second one. Tough little guns.
