    Semi-auto Madsen M50?

Does anyone out there know of a Semi auto M50 that I wouldnt have to drop 8,500$ on and go through the NFA? Sure, I could buy a FA but the past two things are tiresome and the funds arent around yet. is there A semi auto M50 or do I have to go garage warrior or something and machine my own? As far as I know, Owning a self-made M50 that is semi-auto only and complies with all classifications, is legal. Advice, help, etc? Thanks

I've never seen a semi-auto M50, but perhaps eventually Madsen M50 parts kits (minus barrels) may start landing on our shores, since M50's were sold to several countries in Asia and S. America, and some of those countries have remained a continued source of surplus parts kits.

Being blowback-operated and firing from an open bolt, the M50 FCG and bolt will likely require re-machining (such as with reduced ID Sten receivers and closed-bolt conversion) to satify ATF requirements. If there is enough parts kits and interest, a company like Prexis.com make take up the challenge to produce a receiver for it. The M50 receiver is unusual in that it is hinged at the rear, and held together by the barrel nut. When the nut is removed, the receiver opens into two halves.

Life can make you do many things, even kiss a man with a runny nose.
