Kimber: Not an investment. OK shooting .45 caliber gun, better than other brands.

Small, medium, extra large - that's really it - 3, 4 or 5 inch barrel.

Special and unique / rare enhancements are rare in Kimberland.

Decide what size you want, pay the least amount of money for it, and unless the laser grips are less than 150 bucks over price of the regular gun you want to purchase, get em aftermarket
    On hold....

Kimber makes a nice gun. I have several high end 1911's, and my Kimber CDPII's shoot almost as smooth. Nice 1911 for the money. I would go with one of their custom models, as I find them to be a little smoother shooting.

If you can find a good used kimber in a 70 series they tend to have better parts. I love my kimber and they are good guns. To step up to a better 1911 you will have to start paying a lot more. I do recomend stainless. Buy what you like and shoot the crap out of it.
