I have only been to AZ and NV shows so I have a few questions on rules if you all could please help. Can I bring weapons I already own for sale or trade to the show? Is it possible to open carry unloaded to my car in the parking lot if I make a purchase or should I bring extra cases? In AZ I always bring guns I don't use much anymore but I can PPT w/o FFL so there are always guys doing this. Is this even a possibility here? Should I bring all possible trades unloaded in seperate locked briefcase? Just want to get the most from my first CA Crossroads ecperience. Thanks!!

SO your looking for some nice beef jerky ? -
Yes.Yes, though the only cash-and-carry purchases you can make are long guns over 50 years old.Is it possible to open carry unloaded to my car in the parking lot if I make a purchase or should I bring extra cases? No. You must do a transfer through a dealer for all handguns, and long guns under 50 years old. The buyer must then wait 10 days to pick-up their gun.In AZ I always bring guns I don't use much anymore but I can PPT w/o FFL so there are always guys doing this. Is this even a possibility here?Trades are dealt with the same way as purchases - through an FFL, w/ 10 day wait.Should I bring all possible trades unloaded in seperate locked briefcase? Just want to get the most from my first CA Crossroads ecperience. Thanks!!

No..glass figurines, cell phone cases, and tacky memorabilia. LOL...been through this b4. Actually, hoping for off roster revolvers, good deal on new (larger) gun safe, cheap ammo, and an upper for my first OLL build. I am hoping for the best but I have been warned of the worst. Just don't want to break any rules I'm not aware of and look like a jack a**. Thanks though!!Originally posted by SemiAutoSamSO your looking for some nice beef jerky ?WTB - prelock smith 44'sComment

Thanks leelaw
I did know some of this stuff but this really helps.
Can I sell to an individual and have them start DROS that day and take payment that same day? They can pick up the gun from transfering FFL after 10 day wait? Is this how deals are done here or do I have to wait for the buyer to actually complete the 10 days before I can collect payment? I can cash and carry an upper right?Originally posted by leelawNo. You must do a transfer through a dealer for all handguns, and long guns under 50 years old. So if I trade with someone the FFL holds both of our weapons for ten days...charges us a fee...and then we go pick up the new traded for weapons, right? Regardless I'd rather be at the Del Mar show this weekend than one in PHX this time of year. HOT!!!Trades are dealt with the same way as purchases - through an FFL, w/ 10 day wait.WTB - prelock smith 44'sComment

That's how mine have worked, as a buyer.
It seems to me that both parties, as a practical matter, have to have California ID for a PPT in California... the reference to Phoenix sales has caused me to wonder, though you might be that rara avis, a dual-state-citizenship holder.ARCHIVED Calguns Foundation Wiki here: http://web.archive.org/web/201908310...itle=Main_Page
Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!Comment

I live and work in CA...I possess a CA DL and the proof of residency has been met on the 4 purchases I have made so far since I have been here have all used my auto registration...also CA. I do however still own a home in AZ but I do not work there or live full time...I'd love dual citizenship but I don't think I can get it. Thanks so much for this info, especially the knowledge on when payment is collected for PPT deals. I just didn't want to ask for money b4 someone receives product, seems strange to me...though so do so many other things about this state.Originally posted by LibrarianIt seems to me that both parties, as a practical matter, have to have California ID for a PPT in California... the reference to Phoenix sales has caused me to wonderWTB - prelock smith 44'sComment

Once the DROS (transfer through FFL) is done, the gun is in the buyer's name - it's his, but the possession is deferred by ten days.I live and work in CA...I possess a CA DL and the proof of residency has been met on the 4 purchases I have made so far since I have been here have all used my auto registration...also CA.
