    Pull pin smoke grenades

Are pull pin smoke grenades like the ones made by ALS Technologies legal for us to have/use? If so where can we get them?

remember this is CA, anything fun or could be used to save a life is not legal for non cops to own.
a "smoke grenade" could save a life but the people under the dome thank we should not have such a thing.

Smoke grenades, smoke bombs all ban in kommi. Regs are listed somewhere. The only thing you can BARELY have that comes close to these are the flare/signaling type. THE NANNY STATE.

More likely the point is that ALS is now a military supplier, and generally that which is sold to the military cannot be sold to the public. Think MREs and GSA security containers. ALS had no problems selling to the public before they got the contract.

Can someone please post the law regarding this? I have made smoke signals before from really easily gathered gardening supplies.

I was told this as well, which is why I sold all my old smokers. No need getting nailed for a stupid Green orange smoke nade.

I don't think its illegal to manufacture signaling devices under this law. I was told the law has made mechanical fused devices illegal for sale as they can be used to trigger a DD, not the manufacture of a signaling device. So a smoker with a lit fuse or a pull tab that you make is ok. If you manufacture an explosive device to be used as a fuse (to be mounted on a smoker)...the explosive device is a problem.

So does your "gardening supply smoker" use an explosive fuse device?
I am not expecting you to answer and no need to give one.

Ahhh, I see now. The gardening supply smoke bomb was made with stump remover (potassium nitrate, main ingredient of gun powder) and sugar, lit by normal fuse. Just a fun science experiment.

Here is a thread I found:

Summary is that the feds are all over ALS for an unrelated fraud case, and they are using very tenous legalese to breathe down ALS's neck. ALS is going to change the fuse to sidestep the issue. So far, not a DD, and not likely to be.

and some people made big bombs from easily, (then) gathered gardening fertilizers.....just saying as long as people experiment in ways to get around the law, because people experimented in ways to get around the law. like the video game, build a wall around a constantly moving object.
