    PPT near Alameda area?

Does anyone know if Security Six located at the San Leandro Rifle Range does PPT? If not, where else would you recommend to do so within 30 miles of Alameda?

Not sure about San Leandro. You have Bullseye in Castro Valley.
Actually I only started collecting Milsurps 3 years ago. I think I might own about 24...They're cheaper than guns that will most likely never get the opportunity to kill somebody...

I belong to the group that uses firearms, and knows which bathroom to use.

Not sure about San Leandro either.

As for Bullseye Castro Valley - Have they gotten their FFL issues straightened out?
Late in 2010 they had a SNAFU (I think when they changed to a corporation) and their FFL was suspended (paperwork SNAFU, not any compliance issues). The result was no firearms transfer work there. I'd make sure it is cleared up before you go.

I've done a PPT at the Old West Gun Room north of Oakland (Albany/El Cerrito?). The guy there has a reputation for being a little crochety but he was nice for my transaction.

I think there's a new store in Pleasant Hill (City Arms?). You may try there. I hear they're good folks.

If not any of those, I'd try to contact Kevin Smith, a kitchen table FFL, I've done a few transfers with him in the past. Great guy and being private you can set up a mutually agreeable time. I'd check him out for PPTs as I've only done internet transfers there in the past.

As you can see the anti's have driven out most of the ways to legally transfer firearms in Alameda county. They'd prefer to only have criminals armed.

          Forgot about the Bullseye issues.
          Forgot Andreotti was there.
+1 for Kevin Smith & City Arms East

I spoke with Larry Hamby (Security Six) and he couldn't do it. He suggested Andreotti (CV) or Irvington (Fremont) though. We decided to try Andreotti as its closer to home.
