After that, my recommendation is FTA at Raahauges. CATS is ok, but I'd recommend FTA. Another class I can recommend is TJ Johnston from All safe defence.
Oh really? cool cause some of the NRA classes I were seeing were in Orange, bit too far. I do like that I'd be able to switch calibers during the class but just comparing the hours to Raahauges, seems like more information over there.

I was thinking earlier today, maybe I should take the OC indoor or FTA one before I get my gun here and take the CAT orrrr maybe another FTA one (haven't looked at prices or info)

OC Indoor is more of 1-to-1 method. You get all the attention you will get from instructor. I can't speak for FTA since I've not gone through their basic course, but their other classes are excellent.

My recommendation is to see if you like a particular gun and then get the one that works for you. Once you get that, you might need to get some gear(holster, magazine pouch) and then take a bit more advanced class from FTA or CAT. (My personla preference goes to FTA)

When I used to shoot at OC Indoor regularly I saw them teaching their classes occasionally. It seems to be a good class and will certainly get you through the basics. The fact that they let you try out multiple guns is a real solid bonus in my opinion.

And the guys at OC Indoor are super awesome, I wish it wasn't so far away from me now.

If you're willing to make a 1 hour drive, the guys at Iron Sights in Oceanside are awesome.
Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law' because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual.

The guys over there ARE awesome haha, I'm going there tomorrow before picking up my sister at school. I'll ask them what days there classes are this month + heard their transfer fees are cheap!

I've got a 9mm FNH handgun on layaway right now hehe so I'm good there! If I take their class there I'll jump around in calibers, probably.

There is a group lesson, but they do 1 on 1 as well.
