    Selling WWII rifles.

Can I sell a WWII rifle on gunbroker.com for example and if sold, mail it to a FFL near the winning bidder?

Or do I have to take it to a local FFL, pay them $100 to package it in a crappy manner and hope to god it gets to the destination FFL in decent shape?

I sold a rem 700 and sent it from my local FFL to their FFL, well by the time it got there, the barrel was protruding from the box and scratched up.

So, can I send it to a FFL or I have to go to an FFL?

    thanks

You can ship it directly if the receiving FFL will accept it. Your Rem 700 is the same deal.
Never initiate force against another. That should be the underlying principle of your life. But should someone do violence to you, retaliate without hesitation, without reservation, without quarter, until you are sure that he will never wish to harm - or never be capable of harming - you or yours again.

Thanks. I sold the rem 700 years ago and went through a FFL. They packaged it terribly and ruined the barrel.

It just goes to show, if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself.

I've shipped several C&R long guns out of CA. You should pack a copy of the receiving FFL's signed licence in the box, and carry the signed copy with you to the shipper's counter so that they can verify it is going to a licensee.

With that paper in hand, and the shiipping label matching the licensee's info (name address), I've never had an issue-not even at UPS. They ask, and verify, but no hassles.
