Only 2 rounds in SKS at Chabot?

I am planning on going th the shoot and Q at Chabot on Saturday. I was looking at Chabot's rules and noticed that you can only load 2 rounds in an SKS at a time.I was planning on bringing my Zastava M59, but if you can only load 2 rounds at a time, I may not. Why is that rule in place if they allow detachable mags in other rifles? Is it because of the potential for slamfires? Also, its a Zastava M59 not an SKS so I should be OK , right Bweise

If you are in Sac, why are you going to Chabot? Even Livermore is closer... and they didn't have ANY problem with me shooting my sks...

Shoot-n-Que is tomorrow That might explain it. Anyways, yeah, apparently ANOTHER range had an incident with slamfires so they decided to limit SKS to 2 rounds because people don't know how to clean their bolts. I'm not bringing my SKS this time even though I have before, though I will bring some 7.62X39 incase anyone has some nice comm bloc goodies.

If it makes you feel better, my 98 lb, 80 year old neighbor had a slam-fire episode with his Garand.

He said it was pretty exhilarating - but that he didn't want to do it again.

          +1, they're worried about slam-fires.

People don't know how to clean their bolts? I just learned yesterday, how to completely take apart the gun, clean it, and re-assemble it. I had no idea it was that easy.... I might just take it apart every now and then for fun now

But a Zastava isn't an SKS is it.

as long as they can see logic they may let you fire your sks with more then 2 rounds loaded if you show and tell them your using a Spring loaded firing pin kit on your SKS:

using one of the kits slam fires even with a really dirty bolt should never actually happen.

i have one and i have never had any problems with slam fires.
