Different designs function a little differently/have different levels of efficiencies. I'd contact a few manufactures and ask each one which of their product(s) they would recommend for you application(s).

ok cool but it would work with all 22calibers like 5.7 223/556 i guess is what im asking? just some would be more quieter than others

I'm far from a surpressor expert. I would assume that a .223/5.56 can would not be an issue. A .22lr can might or might not be up to the task/pressures though.

Most 22lr cans can be disassembled for cleaning. (Get super dirty)

          223/5.56 cans can not.

Really? I've seen centerfire cans that can be disassembled. Are you just talking about one or two manufacturers or, is there some reason that .223/5.56 cans are manufactured so they can't be disassembled for cleaning/repair?

I've not personally seen a 5.56 can that can be "user" disassembled.

All of the 22LR cans can be disassembled (again, as I've seen)

I'm sure you "can" disassemble a 5.56 can, but...it's specifically not recommended in the instructions I've read.

I did not spend much time researching this at SHOT but, the few surpressor manufactures that I spoke with confirmed my initial thoughts. A .223/5.56 can was recommended and a .22lr can was not. I was too busy to bother asking about centerfire cans which can be dissassembled by the user. I did see a few but, they could have been demos.

I just bought a gemtech for my 6 1/2 in upper. Sar57 is the model. Haven't used it but the model I got is rifle specific and is said to be good to use on 22lr/mag and lesser calibers. But not rated for 223.
Iam a good shot. At least i think i would be. Iam a good free throw shooter.

                    Thanks for your purchase!

SFN-57 is for the FN 5.7 pistols, it comes ready to thread on your factory threaded FN barrels or threaded aftermarket barrels (Jarvis).
You may also shoot 22.lr, 22mag., or 17HMR with the SFN-57.

With the SAR57, you can use 22lr, .22 Mag., 5mm Remington, .17HMR, and other lesser calibers.

With short barreled PS90's Gemtech has a by-lock type adapter for use withe the G5 5.56 suppressor. Most folks go with that.

It's always good to buy cans for their specific use/application. You'll get the performance you're after that way.

Most people with AR57s go with the SAR57 and love it. The PS90 guys do the G5 because there is a mounting option for it.

I rarely "share" cans. The only time I do it is with .30 cans. I'll use .308, .243, or 6.8.

I don't let my wife share her cans either. They are a bit bigger than 30s though.

Hey, sorry I didn't get a chance to meet you at SHOT. I spent about 50% of my time working our booth at 2017. Where was your booth at?
