    ATF in San Bernardino

Just a word of advice to keep those builds legal. I'm sure most everyone here is within the word of the law, but just a friendly reminder that if you live in San Bernardino or surrounding communities, State and Federal agencies are now here for at least 120 days to crackdown. They are also giving a $1000 reward to people who turn in possessors of illegal weapons. Anyway, have a safe 4th everyone and try and keep out of the heat!

I wonder how anyone can call in on someone with an "illegal weapon".

Just how are they going to know if they are illegal or not? I see another innocent gun owner with a CA compliant rifle getting arrested here.

Can't they just go after the people commiting the crime instead of the tools they chose to use? That is probably too hard for them to do.

I guess it is easier to go after law abiding people than the bad guys because that would not require them to actually work.

I am just tired guys. I guess happy "Independence Day" to all.
I don't even know if we are really independent.

Let them come. If they arrest anyone with a legal gun, we'll sue them back to the stone age.

        I will vote for a donkey-sex maniac if he's pro-gun.

          You gotta love this:

The ATF has pledged to stay a minimum of 120 days. But spokeswoman Susan Raichel couldn't recall a single team that has left a targeted city since the initiative kicked off in 2004.

Come in & say they're staying for a few months and end up never leaving....beautiful....talk about the neighbors from hell....literally!

I just called and got $500 for telling them about this place in Highland that I know must be doing something wrong. I don't think I will get my other $500, but $500 is $500.

Although gangsters may have a gun-toting advantage here, he said, law enforcement wants to "put the advantage back in the hands of the citizens."

yay!!! we are getting free guns!!!!

If you try and bleed their funding with tips that don't lead to convictions, will they give up and go home, or will they just ask the .gov for more money?

I can see the powerpoint slides now, "$28 billion paid out to informants on potential leads. Seventeen convictions so far!" The program advisory commitee wakes up at the end and authorizes more funding.

Or am I just being cynical?

They are the .gov being federal agents. But, $500 for an arrest straight upfront and another $500 if convicted. I will laugh when someone tries to "rat" someone out with some false info and they inturn get popped for fraud! After reading the article sounds like they want to get offenders on federal charges and not really state charges.

EDIT: looks like they will be focusing on Terry Stops as part of their methodology.

Wow. This is a pretty interesting way to make some quick cash. We could all just point our fingers at each other (circular firing squad) and make some serious juice.

Then we can do a group buy on these in .416 Barrett.
