    Favorite Targets

What's your favorite thing to shoot target practicing?

examples: Watermelon, Pumpkins, Beer bottles, Paper Targets, Reactive Targets

I don't know where I can go to shoot some of the things I mentioned. So reactive targets for me at the range.

expired fruit/canned food/eggs. Pretty much anything that biodegrades is nice just because you don't have to pick them back up.

One of my favorites though, is walmart water bottles. They're reactive, cheap (24 or so for less than 4 dollars), and easy to clean up since they usually stay in one piece after being blown up.

It would be cool to be able to shoot up an old car.

Do anyone know of a place to shoot in Los Banos? I currently drive either to gunrunner in Merced or to Metcalf in south San Jose.

If you fill up empty paint cans with water and hammer down the lids, they will sort of explode, or at least the lids will fly off and the backs will blow out.

A couple 24 packs of Safeway Select sodas make a nice day at the range. Shaken, not stirred.

Old cars and trucks are fun. Old tanks are pretty fun to shoot at also. Reactive targets are always fun. I just like shooting stuff.

Stuffed animals. Can't totally explain why - I loved my teddy bear as a child.

I went out shooting a few weeks ago and I printed my own targets on my laser printer, but I also had an inspiration and brought a stack of paper plates which I stuck into the High desert bushes where I went. The plates were awesome and cheap!!.

I'm also looking for recommendations on some metal targets like spinners and/or hangers that are cheap and durable, or ideas to make my own.
