North Modesto Walmart idiot

So I was at my local Modesto Walmart buying some ammo when I over heard the sales lady informing another customer about CA gun laws.

1st she said CA has a 21 day waiting period to buy a handgun. I informed her it's a 10 day waiting period and she started to argue with me.

2nd she said Walmart does not sale guns cause it's the state law. I informed her no that is not a state law but rather a decision by walmart. Again she continued to argue.

3rd she said all Walmarts will stop selling ammo after 2/1/11 again I had to school the village idiot.

Why do they let these idiots inform the public with all kinds of wrong info

You're talking about someone who probably makes close to minimum wage, you're not gonna find rocket scientists working at walmart.

However, there are some people there sometimes who actually know what's going on, just never count on it.

These people are everywhere! I don't claim to know much, but, I do at least have the comon sense to come here and ask my questions before I shoot off at the mouth. I take my lashings for stupid questions, sort through my answers, gain knowledge and move on. I don't usually talk to cashier cowboys unless they seem to have a clue...

Is is possible she may have been right about the 2/1/11 end of ammo sales? My local walmarts seem to be slowly running out of stock and up to now they've been pretty consistant with their inventory.

Maybe walmart doesn't want to deal with the new law and decided to get out of the ammo sales business.

No, because some of them are indeed re-stocking, and people have already spoken to managers in the department who have said they have a means in place to deal with it, or they'll use a bound book. Considering this lady was completely wrong about 2 things, it wouldn't be a stretch to think she simply doesn't know what she's talking about.

No I think the founder of Walmart was a pretty smart guy, and Modesto translates loosely to modest, aka not a stuck up pretences snub.

Another idiot employee at Wal Mart what a surprise. I just hate when people give information that is not correct and they know they are just making things up. If you don't know then say you don't know. Why go and make things up.

That guy is awesome, or at least his beard is. I think he hates working at Walmart though. He never tries to sell me more ammo, though I usually only buy a couple of WWB or Federal .45acp boxes...

Why not just ignore them? I just go in, get my ammo and leave. I could care less about correcting someone who doesnt know the laws. That just gives of that typical gun person attitude. I just don't get it.
