    No permit required for carry.

They all do the job, just make sure to get plenty of Volts for your buck.

She needs to practice pulling and deploying it.... It will not help if she doesn't.

just for comparison, watch how fast the poop can hit the fan.

She would do better with pepper spray...a little more range..plus professional thieves wear layers of clothing to try and beat stun guns/tasers...now you will hear how pepper spray doen't do squat on the internet..and that is true if your talking bear/dog spray...real police 10% works...if it didn't do you think they would use it in maximum security prisons?

Any idea why she wants the contact type of stun gun as opposed to the kind that shoots the barbs? If she isn't dead set against the idea of the Taser that shoots barbs, look into the C2. The big advantage is that she can drop the Taser and run while it still sends juice into the attacker. It can also be used like a contact stun gun if the attacker is too close.

I will second this here, distance between the threat and you is a good thing.
IMO if the threat gets close enough for stun gun deployment, she's as good as dead already. Stun guns and tasers are a false sense of security. OC is only marginally better.

This officer hit the suspect with a Taser and the only thing that kept that dude from killing the LEO was his gun.

Depends on the person, the bear spray is more effective when distance and volume is considered.

I second pepper spray over stun gun , I sell both and i think pepperspray is best due to range. I would recomend getting saber red our local pd carries the saber red.

Pepper spray works on most people, but doesn't work on some. 50,000 volts works on anyone. Plus we have to assume that the attacker might pop up out of nowhere and will most likely end up on top of her. Pepper spray won't really work there.

Like everything else, no method of self defense is perfect - not everyone is very affected by tasers and stun guns. Even discounting errors or accidents in application/use, some folks just don't react to single 'shots' with electrical devices.

Bought the wife a pretty pink taser at the Cal Expo gun show. My only request was that she didn't use it on me!
