    "Law Enforcement Only" ?

I just came into a gun, Rem 742 carbine with remington folding pistol grip stock marked "LEO Only". Was not sure of the legality of the stock on semi-auto rifle, so I removed it, besides it is quite fugly. I want to sell the stock if I can do so legally, not sure who can buy it and what other guns it will fit- 870/1100? 7600/7400?

I am hoping to find a nice piece of wood to replace it.

Anyone can buy it. As to what else it will fit, I'm not sure. Is it the 870 Police top-folder?

Remington top-folder stocks were all marked as "Law Enforcement Only". It's meaningless. Makes a good selling point though, " Not every one can get these since they're restricted to the cops."

Anything that ugly on what used to be a pretty little gun should be outlawed.

I just found a butt-stock in Canada that has same checkering pattern. I will refinish both woods in satin oil finish, should turn out OK.

I'm pretty sure that top folding stock is the same one used on the 870P shotgun. Those older metal top folders used to sell for a high price when I was looking a few years back and were hard to find. Do some checking before you sell, you may get more money than you expected.

I sold it to a calgunner for a good deal.
