Remington umc 9mm value pack PROBLEMS!! Added picture

Has anyone else had any problems with remington umc 115gr metal cased ammo? The first 30 rounds or so with a Ruger P95dc were fine no problems but then after that it was problem after problem. Misfeed, failure to eject, and slide wouldnt lock back after last round fired. I usually stick to winchester white box, federal, and reloads I get from local indoor ranges and have fired thousands of rounds without ONE problem. Crap ammo, bad batch???? Added picture of remington and federal champion both 115gr. The remington seems to be seated further down in the casing.

Possibly bad batch. I haven't had any problems with my UMC ammo, but then again I've only fired about 150 rounds of what I have of it.

What is it with Remington? They can't make 22LR, and the UMC are random.

Had problems on two different occasions with 2 different batches with my
CZ P0-1. Never bought it again (and never a problem) with any other ammo

Interesting. I'll be running another 100 through my P-01 this Sunday, so we'll see how that goes. What were your problems with the P-01? I can't imagine any feed failures since it's just your standard round nose FMJ ammo, but maybe misfires? I know the Remington .22LR is inconsistent crap.

There was an issue posted before regarding major setback problems in some of the packs.

Many of the 250 round packs looked like too much weight had been placed on top of them in storage and some of the rounds had setback. I sent some back to remington and they said that even my worst rounds were still within spec. I've never had any failures with remington umc.

Try the same ammo in a different gun. Your ruger might have devolped an extracter issue or something else halfway through...

Found some other posts on yahoo with people having the same problem in there rugers. I guess ruger just doesnt like remington. Will be going to the range soon with different ammo and more remington to see if its the gun or the ammo. All looks good after good cleaning.

UMC tends to have some quality problems from time to time, a bit more often than other brands like Fedral and WWB.

I think this just might be a bad batch.

I had a couple faliure to feeds with remmington umc 9mm (250rd box) in my glock 19 very rare occurance. The ammo seemed to have rough edges around the casing. I stick to winchester and federal now.

I bought 3 of those packs over a year ago and have gone through about 500, not one problem except some of mine got smashed and the vendor sent me a free 250 pack.

My friend has been recently buying the stuff from Walmart and has had NOTHING but problems. My guess would be a bad batch and that batch must be HUGE.

I've shot 1500 rnds through my XD9 with out a single problem. I guess I've either been lucky not to run into one of the supposedly defective batches or your friends guns are not reliable.
