Looking for a shooting range in ramona.

A friend just told me about an outdoor range in ramona. He said he thought it was open to the public for free, or you have to by a pass to park (he described it as an outdoor pass).
Does any one know of a range like this in Ramona. Any and all information as always greatly appreciated.

you need a "forest adventure pass," either $5 a day, or $30 for a year.

the place is pretty much a deathtrap (in my opinion), from the few times ive been there. it was closed because somebody was shot there (as i said, death trap) and then the closure rolled into the fire season. havent looked into it, but a coworker told me they went the other day and it was closed.

Yep, search for "Orosco Ridge" on calguns, you'll find lots of historical info. Bottom line, its currently closed, and IMHO not likely to reopen. I gave up on it a year ago or so and joined the South Bay Rod & Gun Club.. brutal drive but worth it to have a reliable place to shoot my rifles.

They used the shooting to close it which makes no open shoots anywhere around here

Other ranges near by is the Escondido Fish and Game for $140 a year, Pala range for $50 a year or Rainbow range for $140 a year. Check them out online.
