    What Price ANONYMITY?

It just occurred to me that I am actually leaving Commiefornia ... FOR GOOD! I will not return to this state for any reason, save attending a funeral of a friend or some similar obligation.

Soooo ... I have my guns. Commiefornia guns, all legally purchased by me, and r-e-g-i-s-t-e-r-e-d TO me. When I relocate to Free America (Kentucky) it is my understanding that I can simply walk into a gun store, plunk down some cash and legally buy a gun, right then and there, and walk out with it, without the stench of liberalism attached to my name and a serial number, make, model, etc.

So I am wondering. Should I sell all of my Commiefornia guns here, and buy new unregistered ones in Kentucky? I have a Commiefornia legal AR-15, complete with the 10-round magazines and bullet button and all of the other liberal-mandated pussifications that make owning it slightly less enjoyable than it could otherwise be. I have Glocks, a nice Charles Daly .45 ACP, and some shotguns. If I convert them to cash, I can take the money to KY. and buy new guns without difficulty. I also would not have to worry about transporting them in the car/truck.

I'm going to call Bud's and a local gun store in my new hometown tomorrow, and ask a few questions! Maybe the slight price difference is worth permanently washing the stinking stench of Liberalism from my gun collection?

My good friend in Los Angeles is an FFL. He'd handle most of the transactions I guess.

What are your thoughts on this?

Your long guns are registered to you in CA just as much as they are if bought from a gun store in KY...they still have to do a 4473 and a NICS check per federal law on dealer sales. You could buy from private sellers there without ever doing paperwork on them, though, and in CA your handguns actually are registered with the DOJ (not just the form 4473). Remember that long gun DROS doesn't have any make/model/serial information.

I wouldn't let it change my decisions...keep the ones you like and sell the ones you don't to make room for more.

I sold off a bunch off guns before I left CA. Once in AZ I sold off the rest. Thanks to cash and carry I do not own any guns.

Good points! Hmmm... so my long guns are the same to the feds, but the handguns have additional strings? I might have to sell the handguns then, and buy new ones there. I'm not a criminal. It just irks me that some brain dead liberal can pull up my name and know exactly what guns I own, or pull up a serial number and know exactly who owns/owned it.

There is the additional issue of the ammo. I'm still toying with the idea of selling it here, and buying it again there.

If you have any off list handguns, it would be nice to keep them in California. Once they leave, it's a pain to get those models back in. Just a thought.

I say keep the ones you have. You already spent the money on them and UNLESS you are gonna be able to sell them for what you got invested or more then you are losing money.
If you like the guns you have who really cares if they are registered in California.

Just buy more in the next state if you want more guns

That brings up another question. What does "off list" mean?

Guns that can't be sold here new, or at least can't be sold to someone who's not law enforcement.

                      So again, what to do!

My guns are register to me here. If I take them to KY. and do a private party sale, and one of them winds up on the floor of a crime scene, the feds will be knocking on my door. I am thinking I should sell all of them HERE where there would be a record of them being OUT of my hands, and buy new guns in KY. that don't come with the left wing strings attached.

You only really have to worry about California pistols. If it really bothers you, just sell them all off in California. Buy new gear in your new State.

What type handguns might you have to sell? Just curious.

Where in Kentucky are you headed?

Dont miss the Knob Creek machine gun shoots, they do them twice a year, april and october I think.

I have a Glock 22, two Glock 27s ... and a Charles Daly 45 ACP that was promised to a friend the day Commiefornia achieves legal loaded open carry. He thought it would happen with Nordyke. He thought it would happen with Heller. He thought it would happen with Peruta. We still don't have it. He is an optimist. I think it will happen in Commiefornia the day after Hell freezes over.
