Hunter's Supply in Salinas - been there recently?

Hey everyone - Im heading up tomorrow to sell a handgun PPT at Hunter's Supply in Salinas - looks like they are open until 6pm so Im good there is at will be later afternoon.

Whats everyones thoughts on this place? Easy to work with, decent transfer fees for the buyer, quick service, etc? Ive got to continue heading north to Gilroy after the meeting so hopefully we can get things taken care of quickly.

    Thanks!

They're ok. A little expensive for what they have. Selling my buddies p95 for 100 over retail on consignment. Kinda short with me the couple times I've been in there, maybe because I don't look 100% white. At least that was the impression I got. Though I can't blame them due to my city's demographics.

I went in there a few times to get ammo since they are down the street from me but they are overpriced on just about everything. I called one time about a ffl transfer and the person there told me that unless its something that they cant get, they wont do a ffl transfer. The person asked why I would let them "use" them for the transfer and since then I havent spent another penny there.

Hmmmmmm. Wonder if that will matter since this is a PPT. Its on a RIA that I believe they sell.

I've done a PPT transfer there before. It was the same process I've gone through at any other ffl. It's been about a year though so who knows.

Sorry I was venting but they should be gtg for a ppt. You just buy anything online and have them dros it for you.

I did a PPT there back in the spring. Everything was smooth & professional & fast!. I guess they can price their merchandise as they please, I don't have to buy it.

Just FYI everyone - their new store hours are close at 5pm instead of 6pm - but everything worked out great! My buyer knew the store employees well and they took great care of us.

                Very nice place as well!

Hunter's Supply is good to go.
