Sigs Fans need your attention here please

Im planning to get 1 on my next purchase. What model would you recommend and why? I like the idea of the heavy/long trigger full at first shot then short on the follow-ups.
I prefer single stack if there is. So that i can add it in my ccw permit. No 1911, i already have one.

    Thank you.

If you prefer single stack. There's a few options. The P220, P225/P6, or the P239 .

For CCW, the P225/P6 or the P239 would do the job unless you're big enough to hide the full size P220.

I love my German made P239. I have smallish hands and the single stack fits so well, if I'm wearing my owb holster at 4 O'clock it vanishes under a slightly baggy shirt while I'm at work.

Since you can't get higher than 10 round mags, a single stack makes the most sense. You really should go rent a few and see which fits your hand best. The P239 and the P225 have different grip shapes. If you get a P220 you can get the .22lr conversion kit.

Do you prefer single stack cuz of fit or concealibility? If it's fit, don't discount the double-stacks. I thought that way til I got ahold of a P229 with aluminum grips. Felt like it was made for my hand. Perhaps the E2 series will feel the same also.

BTW, the P239 SAS is a good concealable single stack. Only hold's 7 or 8 +1 rounds tho (depending on caliber 9 or 357/40).

I'm a SIG Armorer, they are all good. First choice P220, has it all- caliber, single stack and above all...it's a SIG

In a single stack Sig the 220 is great, the 220ST is even softer shooting, but heavier.

In 9mm, I like the P6 more than the 239...mostly because it is a better value at <$400, but I also like the more angular look better

I usually recommend the 226 in 9mm for a first Sig and the SigPro 2202 if you'd like to stay <$400

sig P226 is also single stack right?

i want something with atleast 4" barrel and single stack so it will not be too thick.

P226 is not single stack. If you are looking for a single-stack SIG with 4" barrel, then get a p225 or p220.

Sigs all feel really similar in terms of how they handle, even between the single and double stack models. Really, it would come down to which is most comfortable to your hand.

I'd personally go out and rent a bunch of different models and see which fits you best.

I can tell you I personally like the 226, 220, 225, 229 (in that order) and I've rented most of the larger frame sig models at one time or another.

ty BL . Caliber? prefer 9mm but it doesn't matter as long as it has 4" barrel and single stack.

And as for the renting to try which is best for my hand. Here in sacramento, i can't fins a range that have different gun to rent. And sig is not part of their list.
