    Thinking of getting this mount....

I have a ACOG TA31F mounted on my A4gery. Like some have discovered the ACOG has very close eye relief. Given the A2's fixed stock length this mount is perfect. Has anyone had any experience with this mount? I've read that Marines are being issued the GDI R-COM E-Model in quantity. If it's good enough for the Marines then it's good enough for me.

Just because the USMC is using it doesn't mean it's the best. There are plenty of other mounts that are better. But, for me, if it's combat proven, then it's good to go.

I like because it allows you to mount the ACOG farther back resulting in better eye relief.

I have an 20" CMMG upper on an A2 stock and My TA31 eye relief is short, but it still works fine with the standard mount.

Well from what I've heard, the GDI mount came out ahead of the Larue mount in a comparison test over on the snipershide. I've never used the GDI but I do have the Larue and it works just fine for me, so if the GDI is better than it must be really great.
