"There Ought not to be a law" Contest

A newly elected state Senator, Doug LaMalfa who was elected in November in one of the few conservative victories in Kalifornia, is running a "contest". He is asking voters from his district, District 4, to tell him about laws in this "great state" that are just stupid and creating angst for citizens. I just learned of this today and sent him the requestd information with two of my pet peeves, the ban on mail order ammo, AB962, coming up to slap law abiding gun owners February 1, 2011 and the equally stupid 10 day wait for a buiyer of a new gun who already owns a safe full of guns and really doesn't need to "cool off" to have his new toy.
If you live in District 4 and have heartburn about a law or several, drop Doug a note on his web site. He is a good guy, ilves right in the middle of one of the best duck/goose shooting areas in the valley and is part of a several generation rice growing family family.
If you don't live i his district, let your beloved poiitican know. Doug may be starting a trend...politicians who actually ask their employers what they would like him to do...GASP!!!!!!

Etched into the facade of every gov't building and at the top of every official letter head should read thusly-
"The greater the number of laws the more corrupt the state."

12276.1 the AW features ban. There is absolutely no scientific evidence that how a firearm looks(cosmetics) makes it any more dangerous than any other firearm.

The ten day wait is another totally unproven piece of legislation when an owner already owns other firearms.
