Springfield 45 XD tactical

I am considering the XD 45 tactical for competition shooting. Anyone have a history with this gun?

I had one and it just was a bad match for me. Others could shoot it well and I shoot other handguns well but me and the XD just didn't work well together.

I have only one polymer gun and it is a SA XD-45 with a trigger pull of 2.9# I perfer my 1911's, but keep the XD for home defense as it hold a 10 round mag.

I have the service compact model haven't had any problems with it shoots great, eats all the ammo I feed it have had it for over a year!

Same exact situation for me. I have the 5" tactical, but I can't shoot it for beans. Give me a 1911, never a miss.
