I was missing one of the white dots on the sight and it was really bugging me, so I just replaced the rear sight on my ruger p95. What a pain in the @$$! The manual says your going to need a rubber or wood mallet but come on I had to beat the heck out of that thing. Now hopefully I wont need to adjust to sight it in. Any suggestions on an easier way?

Sight mover tool...similar to a bike chain tool, locks it in and slowly moves it by turning the screw. Blunt force is seldom if ever considered a precision method. I suppose you could use a vise if you could somehow isolate the pistol, but not sure how strong your tooling skills are. Might be worth the time and $ to just take it to a gun shop and have their smith do the work in ten minutes or so. -
If you lose another dot just fix it with paint and a tooth pick. It's much easier than replacing the sight. MarkComment

@armedoffroader I figured I bought the gun for 300 total why spend another hundred on the sight tool. I put the slide wraped in a towel in a vise then used a small piece of wood and hit the wood with a hammer. In the future will definately take to the local gun shop.
@railroader The paint was what everyone suggested but the part was only 6 bucks so once I got it I was determined
Thanks for the adviceComment
