    Sad, but preventable

Basic gun safety 101 needs to always be applied.

Completely preventable. That's the worst part. He'll have to live with it the rest of his life.

Idiot. How difficult is it to clear your pistol before doing something like this?

We've got a little saying down in the 909. "If it's brown, drink it down. If it's black, send it back."

On a far more serious note, very sad a toddler had to suffer as a result of his father's neglegence. Personally, I don't know how I could live with myself after something like that.

#1 rule of owning firearms-------TREAT EVERY FIREARM AS IF ITS LOADED..even the ones that you checked/double checked/triple checked/disassembled/etc....complacency is the first sign of future negligence.

Exactly, very sad and preventable. At least it wasn't reported as a cleaning accident.

OMG. As a father, I am appalled.

What a idiot, what part of a unloaded gun didn't he understand. Glad no more damage was done!
