    Next firearm - cant decide!

    Rundown of current inventory :

H&K P2000 9mm. 3 mags, case, superority complex included (its funny bc its true )

Marlin 795 22lr : one mag, one soft case, cheap but accurate scope

Both firearms i have "enough ammo to last me until the wife and i leave CA" - aka 2 years if we shoot a lot, 4 yrs if we dont

I want another one. Wife wants a 38pl - i have 500rnds (nothing, i know) for it already, because she needs a house gun - she doesnt feel comfortable with my hk (semi auto - not a fan)

    beyond the 38spl.

I want a centerfire rifle or shotgun. Im leaning towards shotgun bc of bird hunting goodness with coworkers *(the VPs hunt , that would be my golden ticket )

    thoughts? suggestions?

Get that shotgun, and then get the wife her .38 after you snatch up that sweet promotion.

Get her the 38 special that she wants and fuel hobby that you both can pursue together. Continue shooting together and grow her interest and get more of other guns you want. It's about sharing

cant go wrong with an AR
I read somewhere that America is safer place when criminals dont know who is armed, well that is why...."I'd rather be caught with, than without."

For your wife I'd recommend a Smith & Wesson "K" frame revolver with about a 4" barrel. Model 15, 64, 66 or similar. They are heavy enough to fire +P loads and not be hard to handle. If you go with a shorter barrel, the gun is a little harder to handle. A .357 frame with .38 spl loads is a nice combo to shoot.

Ruger also makes some nice revolvers. Taurus makes some nice clones of Smith & Wesson.

For your shotgun needs, a good starter would be a Mossberg pump combo that has both a home defense length barrel and a longer hunting barrel.

Those are good basic starters, after that the possibilities are endless.

A vote for ar or ak. You can get the shotty anytime after the ar or ak.

            10mm. Because .45ACP just doesn't cut it anymore. <Trailerparktrash>

would that S&W handle 357 as well ? or is it just a weightier frame?
