Guess I won't be going shooting for a while

My son was planning on a shooting trip Thursday, so I thought I would get some guns out of the safe and go over them. But, I can't get the safe open. I have put 3 different batteries in it, and keep trying the combination, but I hear a click, but the handle will not turn to unlock the safe.
It is a Cannon Executive I got about 8+ years ago from Costco, with a Lagard Basic E-pad on it. From what I have determined from web search this is a common problem.
I have called Cannon 3 times and left messages, and so far there has been no answer. Another common problem.
Well, parts are covered under warrenty, I have to pay for labor though. But until then, I can't get out some of my favorite guns.
I called T&T Liberty here in Bakersfield, as they were on the Cannon dealer list, but they say they do not carry Cannons. They did give me two numbers to call, but I can't find a listing for one of them.
Guess I will just have to wait to see if Cannon calls me back.

have you tried pushing in on the door while putting in the code for the "click"? It might have tension against the door pins.

Give me a grinder, 20 zip wheels and 10 minutes.

The wise, learn from the mistakes of others.
The smart, learn from their own mistakes.
The others, well......they just never learn.

Thats one reason why I always keep a gun or two outside of the safe just in case.

Exactly why I stayed with a manual lock. You never know when the Machines will become self-aware and EMP us.

Good reason right there I just went with a standard manual combo lock. When it comes to something a important as gettin' to my guns, I dont wanna trust that to electronics.

Manual combo will still work after and EMP too!
