what kind of insurance covers firearms against loss when you check em in and fly?

renters? do you have to buy the special NRA insurance?

The airlines reimburse you at $9.07/Lb for checked luggage on international flights and a maximum of $1250 per passenger on domestic flights. Your NRA membership comes with loss and theft insurance that will cover it also. Your homeowners insurance will also cover losses away from home while on vacation and you can purchase travel insurance relatively cheaply to cover everything from loss of luggage, to rain, pickpockets, etc.
