Current shipping time on Bud's? (last two weeks)

Anyone else order something from Bud's recently? I bought something last week but it's just been sitting in "Financing approved" state on their website. Last summer it was taking only a couple days from order->ship.

    Thanks.

I was pretty close to ordering a rifle from them. I ended up doing some homework and ran across a link that happened to mention about the fact that their shipping process takes an unusually long time, as well as un-returned calls or e-mails.
Not trying to bash in any way, but it lead to me their feedback on Gunbroker. The stuff I read on there was no bueno. About 90 percent of the negative feedback was due to an extremely long delay in shipping (leaving the departing location) and inability to get a hold of anyone.
Some individuals even reported waiting as long as a month during regular, non-holiday, periods.
Hopefuly your goods get to you sooner rather than later.
    Good luck.

I ordered a cz from bud's on 12/2 and it shipped on 12/9. There web site says 3 to 7 business days to ship. I also got updates so everything was fine. They shipped it 2 day day air with UPS on a thursday but because of the weekend it didn't get to my FFL until monday. Mark

Made two purchases with them in the past year, in the process of my third one. Never had any problems. I admit it's hard to actually reach an actual real phone operator, they seem to have an answering machine for every thing.

Every time the status changes on an order, I get an e-mail. "Financing Approved" Sounds like your payment went though, did your FFL approve of the shipment yet? That's usually the next step, and you'll receive an email saying, "We have received CFLC approval for your shipment." Immediately following that an e-mail reading "Your order is now in the shipping department. You will receive a final email when your order has left our facility."

If that's not the case, try this link:
You can email BudsGunShop.com representatives directly through the contact us page. If you have a question about your order, a firearm trade in, and more, you can submit a request and a representative will reply as soon as possible.

Also keep in mind it's the busiest season of the fiscal year for retail, even firearms.

I've ordered from Bud's before and they have always treated me well. I've never actually spoken with a person but they will respond to emails. I'm saving ~$50 on an M&P45 even after taxes and fees, so I guess I'll wait it out.

I have talked to customer service and sales people on the phone at Bud's. The wait time can be up to 15 minutes, but have had no trouble getting thru to them. Best of luck on your orders.

Ok, order shipped. Took one week from start to finish. The wait is always difficult, much like our 10-day period

I've got a gun there going through the wait right now, paid with a check so I'm waiting through the 5 day hold for checks. We'll see if it takes a week after that to ship out.

Well that makes me feel better about an email I sent them and never heard back on. Although they have good prices, I'd rather shop somewhere else if they can ignore emails.

Just fyi I have an order with Bud's that was just shipped yeterday. Here is a an email Bud's sent me a couple of days ago:

This email is an attempt to communicate with all customers with existing unshipped orders.

We have been bombarded with thousands of emails and phone calls about order status updates. Due to the volume at this time of year we really only have two choices:

                      1. answer emails and phone calls

                      2. ship orders

We are going to have to assume that your preference is for us to SHIP YOUR ORDER ! In order to do so, we have pulled all available staff to package and ship existing orders, including most of our sales and customer support staff.

Although we have the opportunity to continue to sell a tremendous amount of product at this time of year, we feel strongly that we should first take care of those customers, like yourself, who have already given us their business.

We do understand that their are customers with actual order issues that will need to be addressed. Unfortunately, we have no way of knowing which phone call to answer, or which email to read, out of the thousands coming in each day in order to assist those customers who actually need our help. We greatly appreciate all of our 428,000 registered customers and would enjoy the opportunity to speak with each and every one of you....just not ALL the week before Christmas !

Please keep in mind that you do have options in the event you wish to cancel or ship your order for any reason...and you do not need to communicate with us to do so. Simply refuse the accessory shipment, or firearm transfer from your FFL, and it will be returned to us at our expense. Valid cancellations will incur no restock, returned shipping, or cancellation fees whatsoever. However, invalid cancellations (more commonly known as "my wife found out") will incur a 10% restock fee.

Some of the customer services we are normally pleased to provide are unfortunately just not going to be an option at this time. Order changes, payment type changes, re questing multiple order updates, accessories recommendations, and other services will need to be put on hold until we recover from this holiday volume.

One of the more serious issues with the increase in sales at this time of year is the associated increase in RETURNS. Firearms are being returned to us in larger numbers due to cancellations and customer failure to pass background checks at their local FFL. Many accessory items are also being returned due to customers ordering the wrong items, wont fit, etc. Once again, with the increase in volume, we are unable to process customer returns and associated refunds as quickly as we normally would...but we are continuing to process those a quickly as we possibly can.

Since we are not able to respond to each customer email at this time...we wanted to send everyone a quick update as to what is going on here and what our plan is to SHIP YOUR ORDER !

We had previously set December 10th as the last day to pro mise orders would be delivered before Christmas. We also required that we had received BOTH payment in full and (for firearms) the transferring FFL by December 10th in order to be delivered before Christmas. We are now working overtime and weekends to keep that promise !

We apologize for any inconvenience or frustration we may have caused you. Please understand that we are doing everything we possibly can to allow you and your loved ones to have a very Merry Christmas !

                      Thank You !

                      Team Buds

Pretty quick for me. I had a check clear yesterday and got the shipment notification today. Hard to beat, really.
