Dirty dirty

At frontsight! I was excited and before the first day cleaned my glock before going to bed... I thought it was a pretty thorough cleaning... Snake down pipe, pulled apart firing pin and clean all Lil parts with hoppes... Took it to first range day, ... Did the hold and release drill...well my Lovely went close to full auto...it kept releasing the striker with my trigger down. Their smith took a lookie said it was so and so likely... Just brought it back and recleaned everything with krohl's and fresh as new!!! Couldnt believe my gun did that!!! Just shows how important a VERY thorough cleaning is.

Do you have a really lite trigger on your Glock. Glocks and just about any gun with really lite triggers are really easy to bump fire if your holding the grip loosely.

That's a good way to get the striker to stick since it's suppose to stay dry, yes a little bit of dirt and oil gets in there but you're not suppose to use any lube on the striker at all period! Please read your owners manual.

I didn't lube the striker or well. I used a solvent cleaning agent. Thanks

Did you leave it totally dry before assembly? Something made that striker stick for a reason.

I took it apart and found brass fragments... Must have been that

Same thing happened to me, but on my rifle. Something was slipping and it may have been ammo specific. Took it apart, cleaned and dried everything, but never could figure it out. The rangemaster just thought it was cool. I didn't - surprised the snot out of me. Glad to see that you came out unscathed.
