    Lights getting dirty?

I took my Streamlight TLR-2s to the range with me today. I guess I was having a little too much fun with it - lasers are cool and all. But when I got home cleaning it was a PITA. And even after I had gotten it as clean as I could there was some marring of the finish right on top (which was right under the barrel). This was after 150rnds.

That got me thinking - what's the lifetime of one of these things? I guess the finish doesn't matter as long as it still works...

That is why you buy quality gear, lifetime service warranties.

I had the same thing happen with my 300 after a pistol class, my surefire contact said to just use a pencil eraser to take the soot off.

Plus gear scarred up and crappy shows we use it, not just a mall ninja fix.

      Fortunately Streamlight is quality gear.

Ah, I'll have to try that.
